Arden was within striking distance about 15 minutes of downtown Asheville, which had quality restaurants and breweries. Fletcher has great proximity to many activities in the area. Hiking, arts, food, are all close by. That being said, you still feel like your getting away from the hectic city life. Good location with easy access to Asheville without being squeezed into noise and traffick. Loved the fact that everything we wanted to do was within 20 minutes from the Hotel but far enough to feel relaxed.
The area is beautiful - even in the spring without leaves on the trees! Also very clean environment. I didn't see any garbage along the roadsides. The traffic was easy to get through even at rush hour. I found the places I was looking for without a problem,.
